Have you ever thought about playing bridge? If so, why not join Okehampton u3a and sign up for beginners lessons we're organising in conjunction with Okehampton Bridge Club. ♠️♥️♦️♣️
It's a great game, sociable and keeps the brain active! You can play it at different levels - a group of friends getting together with a cup of tea or glass of wine, local clubs or even international stardom. Remember Omar Sharif .... but you do need to learn the basic rules and get some practice.
The idea is a course of 10, 2 hour, weekly lessons. They are free, being subsidised by Okehampton United Charities.. All we would ask from you is commitment after the first taster session. We play in groups of 4, so it's good to know how many are attending each week. We are also hoping to run improver/reminder sessions if you have played but feel a bit rusty, or would like to give duplicate bridge a try. You don't have to be a u3a member but will, of course, have the opportunity of joining.
